Tying Walleye Spinners Using Blade Spacers

In the past, I, like many anglers tied my walleye spinners using colored beads to seperate the hooks from the blade and clevis. Typically I would stick with just one color of beads, be that red, chartruese or occasionally silver. I did know of a lot of guys however that liked putting patterns of color into their beads ... maybe a couple of red ones, a green one, then a couple more reds and maybe a silver ... all in an attempt to give the spinner a more appealing "body". A new product for spinners that Gary Parsons and I help develope is Bass Pro Shop's XPS Walleye Angler Blade Spacers. Now, instead of stringing on six to ten beads, all you do is slide on one of these "bodies". Another really nice feature of the Blade Spacers is that they have holographic finishes. These types of finishes have become quite the buzz in the fishing world, be it on jigs, crankbaits, spinner blades and now these spinner bodies, and they are really great for walleye fishing because they combine both color and "flash" to your presentation. So if your looking for a neat new twist on how to tie up a spinner and make it look better to the walleyes, check out the new Bass pro XPS Blade Spacers for your spinners.
