i'm sure this has been asked but is there a prop that is better suited for openwater trolling than my two bladed weed wedge prop? i was thinking of a three blade. i have a tuffy 1760 osprey with a 24v old endura riptide. seems to struggle in anything except with the wind. drains batteries fast. jeff hlavka

I have a MG Magnum 752  12 volt tm.    I want to add a second battery and run in parallel. I have 4 gauge wire to run from pos to pos and neg to neg.  In the battery well I have two red pos cables and 1 black neg.    How do I hook these up with the new battery?

Hi guys this is my first post and my question is twofold

Just acquired this motor and have been unbale to locate the proper instruction manual for this model (Pinpoint 3700). Any help in locationg this would be greatly appreciated. The only one i can find is the stock MotorGuide manual from MotorGuide themselves and this is not helpful.

Guys I am looking for suggestions on the strongest, longest lasting batteries to use in a 24 volt system, Any suggestions?

Keith and/or Gary, I've got a two questions:

1. I just put a PTSv 24v, 80#, 60" on my 17' foot Tracker Targa and will be up grading in the spring to a 20' boat is the 80# too weak on windy days?  Would I have to run my kicker to help and if so will it be hard for the boat to recover on a desired contour trail.?

Does anyone know if there is Auto Pilot in the future for MotorGuide? I really would like this feature on my boat.

so, i have a 89 steiger craft with a 5.7.merc I/O  fi .  basically it is making a nasty clanking sound under load starting at about 1500 rpm all the way through 4,000. doesnt really do it when i rev under no load. sounds like a bad diesel.

hey guys...when i first bought my boat I believe it would run around 35 or 36 mph.  After getting the prop refinished my boat will only run around 32 33 tops and when my rpms get high my motor makes a high pitch whine so i run it a little lower.  Do i need a new prop? i have a SS vengeance.  I just want to start getting 35 to 37 out of it again...

I understand Motorguide is dicontinuing the PTSv. I have had mine for 3 years and just sent it in again to  be repaired for the 3rd time. When it works, it is unbelievable!, but I have also been on 3 fishing trips now where my electric has been rendered 100% non-functional.

I just purchased a brand new MInnKota 80 AP/US2 trolling motor.  I am running two Optima batteries as 24 volt and am having trouble in rough water with the autopilot.  While trolling in rough water with the bow rising and dropping the motor will spin in circles and will no longer track until I turn AP off and then back on again.  Again after bouncing around it happ

I am running a mercury 2005 250XS (3044C) on a 206 champion with a 24P fury 3 blade prop. What kind of RPM and top end speed should I be able to achieve? Right now I'm getting 5450RPM and 70MPH.

I have a Motor Guide 36 volt trolling system using three batteries wired in series.

I have a PTSv 24volt that locked on high speed on the last day of a recent fishing trip. I have the TR320 Sonar. It seems that I read somewhere of a key combination to RESET the motor. I can't find that in the owners manual.

Is there a place to get a copy of  shop manual for this motor, or is there a simple key code fix.

I am on my second DS82 from Cabelas and neither unit would power on. It has power on the trolling motor side of the connections I made when installing plug, so I just cant think of anything else that would stop it from powering on. When I lower the motor into the water nothing happens, motor will not steer, prop will not spin, directional arrow does not light up.
