Summer time Pike fishing can be a challenge on many bodies of water. Pike move out of the shallow water looking for cooler habitat, and can be tough to locate.

Northern Pike love weeds, especially in early summer before water temps start climbing and they begin looking for cooler water in deeper haunts.

It seems the more anglers I talk to the more I discover that many of us, at least here in the northern states, got our start in fishing by casting for Northern Pike.
